Falkirk FC manager, John McGlynn, has been named the Scottish League One Glen’s Manager of the Month for October 2023 – his second successive Glen’s monthly award.

The Bairns picked up seven points from a possible nine during the month, with wins against Stirling Albion and Alloa Athletic and a draw with early title rivals Hamilton Academical.

Falkirk have maintained their unbeaten start to the new league season with nine wins and three draws from their 12 matches played so far, and are now three points clear of Hamilton at the top of the table.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said:

“Falkirk are continuing to set an early pace in the race for the League One title and October saw another impressive run of results for The Bairns.

“As one of only three sides who are unbeaten in the league in Scotland so far this season, they are quickly establishing a standard the other teams in the division will have to match in the race for promotion to The Championship.

“My congratulations go to John, and everyone involved at Falkirk, on winning the Scottish League One Glen’s Manager of the Month award for October.”

Falkirk FC manager, John McGlynn, said:

I am delighted to receive this award for the second month in the row on behalf of Falkirk Football Club. It shows the great consistency that we have shown so far this season. Everyone at the football club has played their part, the players have been magnificent and the backroom staff and everyone involved behind who work so hard has played a massive role as well.

“It’s been a good month on the back of several previous very good months; it’s not easy to keep up the levels we’ve managed to maintain, and we’ve done really well to keep that consistency throughout, including against Championship opposition in the Cup competitions.

“We’re delighted to have received this recognition, but now we’ve got to try and keep it going.”
