Scottish Championship Glen’s Manager of the Month – April 2024

Dundee United FC manager, Jim Goodwin, has been named the Glen’s Championship Manager of the Month after securing his side the league title and a promotion back to the Premiership for the 2024/25 season.

Dundee United’s undefeated run during April saw them earn 10 points out of a possible 12, with a 5-0 win against Queen’s Park FC and victories over Ayr United and Greenock Morton, as well as a goalless draw against Airdrieonians.

With just one match left to play, Jim Goodwin’s side have recorded 21 wins, nine draws and just five defeats, netting him two Glen’s Manager of the Month titles this season.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said:

“Jim Goodwin has displayed great resilience this season in what has been another challenging league contest. The Tangerines’ unbeaten run in April, coupled with the news of a well-deserved promotion back to the Premiership next season, makes Jim a worthy winner of the April Glen’s Manager of the Month award.

“My congratulations go to Jim and everyone involved at Tannadice Park. This is a terrific achievement to receive as the season draws to a close, and I wish them the best of luck in the Premiership next season.”

Jim Goodwin, manager of Dundee United FC, said:“I’m delighted to have this award again. It’s been a real team effort and we couldn’t have had this success without everyone’s help from the top to the bottom of the club, and in particular my backroom staff and the players.

“We have achieved our main objective, and although I’m here getting Manager of the Month, I accept it on behalf of all the staff and players.”
