Stenhousemuir FC manager, Gary Naysmith, has been named the Scottish League Two Glen’s Manager of the Season 2023/24 after leading his side to their first-ever league title during the club’s 140th anniversary year.

The former Scotland left-back led The Warriors to score 50 league goals this season, winning 18 out of their 36 matches, with 14 draws and just four defeats.

Naysmith’s side secured the league title by eight points from nearest rivals, Peterhead, with a performance which also secured him four of the Scottish League Two Glen’s Manager of the Month awards during the season for September, November, December and January.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said:

“Gary Naysmith has been at the helm of a phenomenal season for Stenhousemuir with a record-breaking run of 12 undefeated matches in what has arguably been the club’s most successful season as they finish top of the league table.

“My congratulations go to Gary and everyone involved at Stenhousemuir. This victory could not have come at a better time for the Ochilview Park club as it celebrates its 140th anniversary in 2024. It has truly been a season for the history books.”

Gary Naysmith, manager at Stenhousemuir FC, said:

“I am delighted to be named league two manager of the year but there are a lot of people that I must thank who have helped me to receive this award, none more so than the players and my back room staff.

“To win any award is great but to be rewarded over the course of the season is something special. To me, this award highlights just how consistent we were as a team and that consistency eventually led to us being named league champions.”
