Stenhousemuir FC manager, Gary Naysmith, has been named the Scottish League Two Glen’s Manager of the Month for January 2024 after maintaining the club’s position at the top of the League Two table, 15 points ahead of second place.

Stenhousemuir picked up nine out of a possible 12 points during January, with victories over Forfar Athletic, The Spartans and Stranraer, before a 2-1 defeat against Peterhead ended Stenhousemuir’s historic winning streak.

This is Gary Naysmith’s third consecutive award and fourth monthly award of the season, having picked up the Glen’s Manager of the Month award in September, November, December and now January.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said:

“January was another strong month for Stenhousemuir under Gary Naysmith’s leadership, recording a 12-match win run before an unlucky game against nearest challengers Peterhead. Remaining at the top of the table, now 15 points clear of any other club in the league, Gary was once again a clear choice for the Glen’s Manager of the Month award.

“Having gone 17 matches without a league loss is an impressive feat and my congratulations go to Gary, his coaching staff and all involved at Ochilview on his fourth Glen’s Manager of the Month award this season.”

Stenhousemuir FC manager, Gary Naysmith, said:

“As well as thanking my staff, I must give the players an enormous amount of thanks for their hard work and efforts so far this season. Players at any club are usually the main reason why a manager would receive an award and this season, our players have performed consistently well over an extended period of time which has led to me being presented with a few monthly awards."
