Stenhousemuir FC manager, Gary Naysmith, has been named the Scottish League Two Glen’s Manager of the Month for September 2023.

Naysmith’s side picked up 10 points from four matches during the month, with victories over The Spartans, Stranraer and Bonnyrigg Rose, as well as a draw with Clyde, to move to within one point of leaders Peterhead at the top of the table.

Stenhousemuir have won four, drawn three and lost one of their eight league matches played so far this season.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Glen’s owner the Loch Lomond Group, said:

“September has been a good month in terms of league form for Stenhousemuir, with the loss of just two goals during their run of three wins and a draw.

“With the top six teams being separated by just five points and the top three being only two points apart, the division is again extremely competitive and so a run of unbeaten matches is important at this early stage of the season.

“My congratulations go to Gary, his coaching staff and all involved at Ochilview, on being named the Scottish League Two Glen’s Manager of the Month for September.”

Stenhousemuir FC Manager, Gary Naysmith, said:

“The manager is the one who receives the award but you only really receive the award on the back of all the good work done by everyone else at the club. Therefore, I’d like to thank my backroom staff for all the help they have given me since pre-season begun, as well as thanking the players for all their hard work and effort since we put the squad together in June.

“We have made a good start to the season which we will try to continue in the coming months.”
